The Shrimpers Section is open to male members of Mid Kent Golf Club over the age of 60.
The Section is run by a small committee and they put on events for the section which include monthly stablefords, Championships and a Memorial Day together with doubles and single knock-out events known as the Cobb Cup and the Lewis Trophy. All these events are spread throughout the golfing season.
We represent the Club in two Senior leagues, the KVGL Group 4 League and Super Seniors Group B Kent League. These are competitive games and members compete for a league trophy. We also play a good number of friendly matches each year against other local clubs including Wrotham Heath, Sittingbourne and Faversham.
The Section is very active and gives the over 60s an opportunity to still play competitive fun golf with players of a similar standard.
If you are interested in joining you must be a playing member of Mid Kent Golf Club, over 60.
There is a one-off payment of £10 to join the Section. Application is directly to the Section through the Club.
